Ukulele by Music Wormhole 1.2

Publisher Description

Music Students will love this App because it will improve their musicianship! Repetition is helpful in learning and with this App in your pocket, you can easily look up the notes which make up a chord, the "shape" of the chord and which keys contain that chord. You can listen to the chord play, play an arpeggio version of the chord, play chord progressions or just tap on the screen to have fun making up your own chord progressions. All of Music Wormhole s products are music theory correct, which means that you will get a good foundation of music theory knowledge and you will sound good! All of Music Wormhole s products use a consistent color assignment for each note, which makes the material visually intuitive, for example, the color of the note "C" is always Yellow. Ukulele by Music Wormhole is a Universal App, meaning that it can be downloaded onto any of Apple's mobile platforms (iPhone, iPod or iPad) but this App is primarily intended for the iPhone so that you can have the App with you at all times. If you own an iPad, we recommend our iPad only version of this App (which is called Ukulele Chords by Music Wormhole) because it has all the last features, such as, a metronome that can be set to any number of beats per minute, measure bars that will display the Chord Names or the Scale Degrees, ability to save and recall a Chord Progression and much more. Ukulele by Music Wormhole is an App with three levels. The first level of this App uses large colorful diagrams to display the notes and finger positions to play all the Major Chords of Western Music. The Chords are arranged in the order of the Chromatic Scale (sequentially - similar to a clock face). Video lessons are embedded into each level of this App and provide a foundation for understanding the structure of Western Music. Users can tap the screen to hear a chord play and swipe the screen to change to the next chord in the Chromatic Scale. The second level of Ukulele by Music Wormhole is called the I-IV-V because it plays and displays the I-IV-V chord progression in the twelve keys of Western Music. The I-IV-V Chord progression is important because it is used often in songs. Finger numbers for the fingers typically used to play each chord are shown below each Chord diagram. Tap the screen to listen to hear the chord play and then replicate the sound on your instrument. Tap and hold on a chord diagram to zoom in and hear an arpeggio version of the chord play. The third level of Ukulele by Music Wormhole is called the Major Scale because it plays and displays the chords that are diatonic to the Major Scale in the twelve keys of Western Music. You can also improvise your own chord progressions in any key. Measure bars will record the scale degrees that you play and play them back to you or allow you to swipe the screen to change the key and then hear that chord progression played back in a different key. It is fun to tap the screen and hear different Chords play. You will be amazed by how much you can learn by simply playing around with this App.

Requires iOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
